My private practice has 2 main ‘legs’:

- Kink Aware (relationship) Coaching
As a coach/therapist, I am down-to-earth, theory-based and openminded enough to understand a lot (as I hear from my clients).
My background is Physical Therapy and Breathing Therapy for the body and the Integrative Theory from Petzold for the mind-body.
As a person, I am a practical thinker so I can help people understand and accept themselves and help them to get a grip on things.
People talk face-to-face to me in Amsterdam or talk to me on Skype and Hangout from all over the world (rather fluent in Dutch, English, and German).
As a coach, I am not the one to decide your goals but I will help to find and reach yours (and no, I do not think abstinence is the only way out of addiction, nor do I think that kink or polyamory is in any way better or worse than vanilla or monogamy).
I am sex-positive and I don’t think that hedonic fun should be frowned upon. Within your limits, it is healthy and an important part of your happiness.
Integrative Addiction Coach In the field of addiction-coaching, I often mention that during puberty about the only drug I did NOT use was heroin at the time. I do not regret my drug use (even though I have used more than I would have needed for my life lessons). It helped me to gain perspective and create open-mindedness and an awareness of perspective that I wouldn’t have without and that helps me to be a better therapist. PraatmetHans.nl (NL) |
Kink Aware Professional I discovered my own kinkiness when I was 12-13. But it got only names after I learned about BDSM when I was 21. My own drug use was mainly for fun (though a bit much now-and-then) but having lived this, it helps me to understand my clients. These things help me to understand taboos and the things that shame can do to a life… |
